Why Give to American University of Nigeria Foundation
The American University of Nigeria is the only American-style university in Sub-Saharan Africa. Located in Yola, Adamawa State, AUN’s mission is to be a “development university.” AUN believes in not only training the next generation of leaders capable of creating innovative solutions to Nigeria’s development challenges, but also in being an agent of development and change throughout the Northeast.
AUN founded and leads the Adamawa Peace Initiative (AUN-API), a council of local Muslim, Christian, and other traditional and business leaders. AUN-API provides urgent emergency relief and long-term education, empowerment and economic development programs to prevent the radicalization of youth and equip vulnerable populations with skills and hope.

“When one gives to education they are making a powerful investment in the potential and well-being of individuals, communities and societies in large. This will open doors that creates a more inclusive and prosperous world. At the American University of Nigeria, we invest in the potential of all Nigerians, no matter their gender or their economic status. It would be our absolute honor if you could join us.”
